UPDATE @ 4:19 a.m. (Dec. 6):
A man has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons under disability.
According to jail records, Daryl Jamar Harris Sr., 28, was arrested in the 1900 block of Republic Drive at around 10:20 p.m.
UPDATE @ 12:30 a.m. (Dec. 6):
A suspect ran from deputies Thursday night who were on foot patrol in the Creekside Townhomes in Harrison Twp.
During a short foot pursuit around 9:45 p.m., the suspect threw a handgun at the dead end of Republic Drive and then continued to resist and fight, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, which led to the dispatch center to broadcast a “signal 99” officer needs assistance call for all county agencies.

The suspect was placed into custody a short time later without incident.
The matter remains under investigation.

Area law enforcement officers were sent to the Creekside Townhomes in Harrison Twp. on Thursday night for an officer-needs-assistance call.
We're working to find out what prompted the “signal 99” call a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch sergeant said was issued about 9:46 p.m.
Regional dispatch quickly canceled the call, issued whenever a law enforcement officer is believed to be in danger and needs help.
We have not heard of any injury associated with the call.
