Fairborn HS students plant flowers around bench dedicated to 17-year-old student killed in crash

FAIRBORN — Students at Fairborn High School are continuing to remember and honor a fallen classmate.

Friends of Lily Clingner planted lilies around a bench in Community Park in her honor. The bench was donated by the school’s Leo Club in March.

Clingner, 17, died in a crash in Beavercreek Twp. in December.

A mailbox has also been put at the bench for people to leave letters and notes. Clingner’s parents have access to the mailbox.

“This is who we are. Lily and her family are part of our family and we honor her each day. Thank you to the Skyhawks for thinking of this amazing tribute and we send our love and support to Lily’s family,” district officials said in a social media post.
