Teen arrested in connection to April crash that killed 4 people in German Twp.

GERMAN TWP., Montgomery County — A 16-year-old has been arrested in connection to an April crash that killed four people, according German Twp. Police Chief Joseph Andzik. Police met with the Montgomery County Prosecutors Office and are currently considering charges.

The crash happened April 30 on state Route 4 near state routes 725 and 123 in southern Montgomery County.

Killed in the crash were 23-month-old Andrew Johnson Jr. and his mother, Ashley Mance, 26 in one vehicle. Katie Roberts, 31 and her mother Rebecca Roberts, 61, were in a second vehicle involved in the crash and were also killed.

The 16-year-old was arrested Thursday. He’s being held at the juvenile detention center.

Two other people, Mance’s 7-year-old child and another man were also injured in the crash.

Johnson’s father, Andrew Johnson Sr. posted on social media this week that police had made an arrest in the case.
