Lockdown lifted at Beavercreek freshman school after threat discovered

BEAVERCREEK — UPDATE @ 1:20 p.m. 

The lockdown at Ferguson Hall in Beavercreek has been lifted after officials deemed the threat was not creditable, according to a statement from the school district.

All students have returned to their regularly scheduled classes.

“All necessary protocols and precautions were followed to ensure the safety of our students and staff,” an official said in the statement. “The building administration will continue to work with law enforcement to further investigate this situation.”

FIRST REPORT

Ferguson Hall in Beavercreek is on lockdown while authorities investigate a written threat found in the school, according to a school official.

“A written threat was discovered, as a precaution, the building is following lockdown procedures,” the official said in a statement.  “Law enforcement is working with building and district administration to assess the situation.”

The district was informing parents of the situation and will provide an update on the situation later today.
