DAYTON — A fight prompted a large police presence in Downtown Dayton early New Year’s Day.

Around 1:41 a.m. officers in Downtown Dayton reported a large fight in the 450 block of East 3rd Street.

Multiple units showed up to assist.
At least one person was taken into custody, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Sergeant.
It is unclear why and on what charges the person was arrested.
It is unclear if anyone was injured in this fight.
