FRANKLIN — Three units of a Franklin apartment building sustained significant damage after a fire broke out Thursday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 200 block of Bridge Street around 6:15 a.m. after the fire was reported.
Witness photos show heavy flames and smoke were coming from the roof of the building before firefighters arrived.
Investigators said the occupant of the unit where the fire started was able to get out safely and knocked on the other doors of the building to help them get out.
No injuries were reported, but a few family pets are currently unaccounted for.
