Residents had moved out before fire destroyed Miami Twp. house

MIAMI TWP — UPDATE @ 7:23 a.m.:

Fire crews are continuing to search for the cause of a house fire that destroyed a house on Farmington Road in Miami Township.

According to officials on the scene, the residents of the house had already moved out, so they are working on contacting them.

Officials also said that when police received the report that the home was on fire, they found it already largely engulfed.

A motorcycle was found next to the house, but officials told our photographer that the vehicle had been there for some time.

UPDATE @ 7:02 a.m.:

Our crew on the scene is reporting that the fire is now largely out, and fire crews are investigating.

Photos and video from the fire show that the house has been mostly consumed by the fire.

Fire crews are responding to a report of a house on fire near the intersection of Chautauqua Road and Farmington Road in Miami Township.

Initial reports said that the house is fully engulfed in flames, and that crews from multiple jurisdictions are responding.
