GREENVILLE TWP. — Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a 2-alarm house fire on Wednesday.
The fire happened around 11:50am at a house in the 3400 block of Brumbaugh Road outside the city of Greenville.

Greenville Twp. Fire and Rescue requested mutual aid from Union City, Gettysburg, Pitsburg, Arcanum, New Madison, Liberty Twp. and Hollansburg.
According to fire officials, an aggressive attack on the fire allowed them to bring the fire under control fairly quick.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours putting out hot spots. Officials said one firefighter was taken to Wayne Healthcare after suffering an injury during the fire. He was treated and released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
