DAYTON — A vacant warehouse fire sent a large plume of some into the sky in Dayton Sunday afternoon.

Dayton Fire Department crews were called to the intersection of Salem Avenue and Parkhill Drive on reports of a fire around noon.

Upon arrival, crews saw heavy smoke coming from the building, according to Dayton Police and Fire.
Firefighters are using defensive operations and ‘multiple large’ hose lines to fight the fire.
According to the fire department, the building is a known unsafe structure, so the fire crews set up exterior operations to fight the fire.
