Fire tears through Dayton home overnight

DAYTON — Firefighters have been called to the scene of a working house fire in Dayton early Monday morning.

Dayton Firefighters responded to the house fire in the 2200 block of West Second Street around 3:52 a.m., according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

When fire crews arrived, they reported seeing flames shooting out of the building.

Video from the scene shows flames erupting out of the roof of the house.

There were no reported injuries, News Center 7 Reporter Kayla McDermott, who responded to the scene, said. Firefighters concluded that the building was a vacant house at the time of the fire.
