Man taken to hospital with burn wounds after house fire in Miami County

MIAMI COUNTY — One man was taken to the hospital after receiving burn wounds in a house fire in Miami County early Tuesday morning.

Troy fire crews were dispatched to Woodhaven Lane on the reports of a structure fire around 1:57 a.m., according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

Dispatch tells us one man was taken to Upper Valley Medical for burn wounds he received from the fire.

The victim spoke with crews on the scene and told them the fire wasn’t suspicious. He told officials he was the only one inside the house during the fire.

The house was deemed a total loss and Red Cross has been contacted.
