ANSONIA — Several firefighters responded to a fire at a manufacturing facility early Thursday morning.

Ansonia firefighters and Darke County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 12 a.m. to the 9100 block of State Route 118 on initial reports of a fire, dispatchers confirmed to News Center 7.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy black smoke at the scene.
The fire was contained to the machinery and the manufacturing facility is not a total loss.
Mutual aid was provided by other fire departments from Greenville, Greenville Township, Rossburg, Union City, North Start, Gettysburg, Burkettsville, and Ansonia EMS.
The departments were requested for both man power and water as it was a non-hydrated area, Ansonia fire officials told News Center 7.
The cause of the fire is under investigation along with the estimated cost of damages.
