1 hospitalized, part of busy street closed after Kettering house fire

KETTERING — UPDATE @7:20 p.m.

A person is hospitalized after a house fire in Kettering late Saturday afternoon.

Kettering firefighters responded around 5:20 p.m. to the 2600 block of E. Dorothy Lane on reports of a structure fire, dispatchers told News Center 7.

Medics transported a victim to Kettering Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The Kettering Fire Department posted an update on social media.

“The home is reported to be a hoarding situation, making firefighting efforts more challenging. One victim has been removed and transported to Kettering Medical Center.

“Our team is working diligently to ensure the safety of all involved and to contain the fire. We remind everyone to stay clear of the area while crews remain on site.”
