DAYTON — Multiple people were injured after an apartment fire in Dayton early Saturday morning, according to Dayton Fire Department Assistant Chief Brad French.

Firefighters responded to the 800 block of Riverview Terrace on reports of an apartment fire around 5:20 a.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy fire conditions coming from a three-story apartment building.
Crews quickly searched the building looking for anyone trapped and began fighting the fire with hose lines.
Firefighters found and removed an adult victim from the structure in critical condition, French said.
Two other people sustained injuries while trying to get out of the building.
All three victims were transported to a local hospital, according to French.
The cause of this fire is currently under investigation by the Dayton Fire Department Fire Investigations Unit.
Dayton fire crews remain on scene.
