Dayton firefighters and police officers were dispatched just after 3:45 a.m. to the 1500 block of Shaftesbury Road near Cornell Drive, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch told News Center 7.

When firefighters arrived, they saw flames shooting out of the windows from the second floor, Dayton Fire Chief Adam Landis told News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson.

Images from the scene show damage to that part of the house.

A neighbor reported this fire to dispatchers but that neighbor was not sure if anyone was inside the house at the time of the fire, according to Chief Landis.

Firefighters searched inside the home and did not find anybody.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
