The chance for wintry precipitation is still several days away, Storm Center 7′s Chief Meteorologist Austin Chaney reported on News Center 7 at 5:00.

However, there is a marginal chance that we’ll see snow, Chaney said. As of Friday, highs late next week are expected in the 30s which would make snowfall favorable.

Temperatures are expected to drop for Thursday. These conditions are more favorable for snow, with morning temperatures predicted to be in the 30s. Even if it’s not snowing, it will still be blustery with 30 mph wind gusts expected.

With six days before the system moves in, small changes in temperature or direction could easily change the outcome.

On average, Dayton sees its first snowfall in the third or fourth week of November, Chaney said.

The Storm Center 7 team of meteorologists will be tracking this system.
