Passing showers, patchy fog possible overnight; highs reach 80s this weekend

Flood Warning is in effect for the following areas:

  • Auglaize, Champaign, Logan, Shelby and Union counties until 12:45 p.m. Saturday
  • Great Miami River at Sidney until 7:25 p.m. Saturday

A Flood Warning for Mad River at Springfield has been canceled.

Flooding is the second leading cause of weather-related deaths. Do not drive through flooded roadways. When water covers the road, drivers cannot always determine the depth of the water or the condition of the road under the water, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Overnight: A few passing showers with an isolated thunderstorm is possible, though is not likely to be severe, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Dontae Jones said. Temperatures will fall from the 70s down to a low in the mid-60s overnight. There may be some areas of patchy fog, mainly in the northern Miami Valley.

Saturday: A nice start to the weekend with more sunshine and very warm with highs in the mid-80s. It'll be breezy through the day and might feel a little muggy. A pop-up downpour can't be ruled out with the heat of the day, but most will stay dry.

Sunday: A dry start with some sunshine and highs in the low 80s is expected. Clouds will increase and winds will become gusty. Showers and storms will return towards the late afternoon and evening with strong winds being the main threat.

Monday: It'll be a dry but cooler start to the workweek. Highs return to normal in the low 70s with sunshine and scattered clouds.

Tuesday: It'll be another nice day, mostly sunny with highs in the mid-70s.

Wednesday: It'll be partly cloudy, warmer and windy with a chance of a few showers and storms. Highs will rise into the lower 80s.
