DAYTON — The University of Dayton men’s basketball team has cracked the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time this season.

In the updated poll released today, the Flyers were ranked No. 22.

This is the first time the Flyers (9-2) have been ranked in the top 25 since last season. Dayton finished No. 24 in the final poll for the 2023-24 season.
The push into the top 25 comes two days after the Flyers beat No. 6 Marquette 71-63 at UD Arena on Saturday. Marquette (9-2) fell three spots to No. 9.
Saturday’s win was Dayton’s second win against a ranked opponent this season. They beat Connecticut in the Maui Invitational when the Huskies were ranked No. 2. They currently sit at No. 11.
The Flyers are back on the court tomorrow when they take on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) at UD Arena at 7 p.m.
