BELLBROOK — Lynn Webb has spent the last 27 years rooting for dancers in her Bellbrook studio, after rooting for slightly less graceful subjects.
Webb was a Bengals cheerleader, or Ben-Gal, from 1990-1994.
“I think it was such a wonderful time in my life,” Webb said, “I was so blessed that I was able to cheer for such an amazing organization and with the girls that I was able to cheer with.”
For the first time since she has joined the organization, Cincinnati has made it to an AFC Championship game.

The recent success has connected her with the women she cheered with all those years ago.
She said it feels like they are reliving their experience, which has been really fun.
But Webb’s connection to the Ben-Gals isn’t only in the past, one of her former dancers in her rookie season as a cheerleader for the team.
Webb said she is so proud, and not surprised.

As she instructs her classes at Bellbrook Dance Academy, she could be coaching someone else to fill her pompoms.
“She’s trying to prepare us for our future like if we wanted to be a Ben-Gal one day,” Ally Lewis, a dancer at Webb’s studio said.
While Webb no longer suits up in the team uniform, she’s still cheering them on.
“The Bengals are going to win, of course,” Webb said.
