Former Centerville Schools employee faces sexual battery charges involving student

CENTERVILLE — A former Centerville Schools employee has been indicted on seven counts of sexual battery after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old-girl.

Bryan C. Miller, 36, was indicted Wednesday.

Miller has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old Centerville High School student in 2016.

Miller met the victim, who is now 21, while working at Centerville High School, according to Greg Flannagan, Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson.

Miller is scheduled to be arraigned on July 22.

“We take the safety of our students seriously, and we reacted immediately when the information came to our attention,” said Centerville schools spokesperson Sarah Swan.

Miller was hired as a custodian at Centerville High School on Jan. 9, 2012. He was placed on administrative leave on March 30, 2021, and resigned on April 1, 2021, according to the district.

Miller is the second former Centerville Schools employee to be accused of sexual battery in the last several years.

Former Centerville High School teacher Samuel Glenn is also facing a sexual battery charge.

Glenn, 32, is accused of an improper relationship with a female student in January 2017. Glenn joined the military between the time of the initial investigation of the alleged incidents in 2017 and the indictment.

Glenn is set for a scheduling conference on July 22 at 9:30 a.m.
