Franklin Police Department collecting donations for Kentucky tornado victims

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Police Department will be collecting donations that will be delivered to Kentucky tornado victims.

The police department says it will have a trailer in the parking lot of Walmart, 1275 E. Second St. Monday from Noon to 4 p.m.

The donations will be going to Madisonville, Kentucky.

The following items are needed:

  • Industrial Bags
  • Hammers/Nail
  • Tarps
  • Shovels/Rakes
  • Gloves
  • Batteries of all sizes
  • Hearing aid batteries
  • Basic Hygiene Items
  • Denture Cleaner

Anyone who would like to donate any of the above items is asked to come to the parking lot of Walmart and look for the police cruiser and Vandalia Rental Trailer.

If you would like to donate, and you will not be able to come to Walmart during the scheduled time, you can drop off your donations at the Franklin Police Department located on 400 Anderson St. Franklin, Ohio 45005.

A group of officers will be leaving early Monday morning, December 20th, to deliver the donations personally, the police department said.
