The National Weather Service in Wilmington, the station for our region, said on Twitter that multiple reports of slide-offs and accidents across several counties led them to expand the Winter Weather Advisory further south Sunday.

Things are getting slick out there. We have nearly 400 crews out treating roadways or icy conditions. Avoid travel, if possible. If you have to be out allow extra time to arrive and give our crews room to work. #ODOTwinter https://t.co/lfw4tQXULb
