Ohio Marijuana Card has officially opened its latest doctor’s office in the Dayton area, according to a release.
The new office at 3623 Dayton Xenia Road joins the Akron, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati and Toledo offices, which opened earlier this summer.
“We are pleased to announce that we have arrived in Gem City,” said Connor Shore, Ohio Marijuana Card President.
“It is our mission to help patients easily obtain their medical marijuana card, and we are so happy to be able to open our offices here in Dayton,” he said.
An Ohio Medical Marijuana card is required to purchase, process or use medical marijuana.
“With six dispensaries opening in the Dayton area alone, there is going to be a high demand for the medical marijuana cards. We felt it was paramount to open a Dayton office so that patients would be able to get their marijuana card quickly, and without breaking the bank,” said Shore.
The goal, he said, is to make sure everyone who qualifies for a card, who has one of 21 qualifying medical conditions, is able to obtain one. Qualifying patients must visit a state-certified medical marijuana doctor, who will examine the patient's medical records and perform a brief exam, stated the release. If the patient qualifies, the doctor will send a recommendation to the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy, which issues medical marijuana cards.

“For too long, the health benefits of this plant have gone ignored, but now that marijuana has found a home in Ohio, our doctors plan to work hard to bring relief to thousands of suffering Ohioans,” said Shore.
