CASSTOWN — An 11-year-old girl who was killed in a Miami County crash that also injured her 17- and 13-year-old sisters has been identified.
The Miami County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Cailyn Walker.

The 11-year-old was a front passenger in the car driven by her 17-year-old sister.
Visitation for Walker will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 S. Walnut Street, on Thursday. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
The sisters are all students at Miami East Local Schools.
Superintendent Todd Rappold said that the district would have counselors on campus throughout the week to help students and staff who are grieving.
The two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck was reported late Friday morning at U.S. 36 and North Lena-Palestine Road.

Two medical helicopters were called to the scene. The 17-year-old sister was flown to Miami Valley Hospital and the 13-year-old was taken to Upper Valley Medical Center.
Their conditions are not clear at this time.
All three were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

A preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the car was headed south on Lena-Palestine Road when she pulled into the path of the semi, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. The driver of the semi, who was headed east on U.S. 36, was not injured.
