DAYTON — Over the weekend, News Center 7 Circle of Kindness partnered with Morris Home and Ashley Furniture to collect donations for Miami Valley Meals.
Miami Valley Meals is a local nonprofit organization that works through food donations from 27 food recovery partners. The group consists of local chefs that cook using donated ingredients and distribute over 3,500 free meals weekly to those who need them.

“This organization is doing amazing work putting together meals and making them more easily accessible,” Jessica Ryan, Morris Furniture Co Communication Specialist, said.
The event was held at three different Dot’s Market locations across the Maimi Valley. Grocery items such as canned or packaged food and kitchen items like measuring cups or parchment paper were accepted.
“Saturday was a great day; the goodness of the Miami Valley was on full display,” Darren Moore, General Manager of Cox Media Group Ohio.

“We’re giving back to our families like this is our Morris family, and thats what we consider the local communities here in Dayton,” Ryan said.
News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson spoke with LaMorris Render, who was at the event to help drop food off to families.
“Its a very big help to the community where it helps everyone the people that need meals,” Render said.

News Center 7′s Circle of Kindness partnered with Morris Home and Ashley Furniture to organize the event.
“We created the 7 Circle of Kindness to help the community and support those that are in need and thats exactly what we did as you can see the results here that we’re bringing into the store today,” Moore said
