Governor Mike DeWine announced 2 appointments to Montgomery County Court of Pleas

MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Governor Mike DeWine announced two appointments to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas on Thursday.

Robert G. Hanseman, of Washington Twp., will assume office on Apr. 11, 2022, taking the seat formerly held by Judge Greg Singer, who retired.

Hanseman earned his law degree from George Washington University, and his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. Since 2001, he has been in private practice with Sebaly Shillito + Dyer, LPA, where he specialized in business litigation. He also worked as a trial attorney in the United State Air Force as a judge advocate general, serving as trial counsel in criminal prosecutions and contract disputes.

Kimberly Melnick, of Dayton, will assume office on Apr. 11, 2022, taking the seat formerly held by Judge Micheal Krumholtz, who retired.

Melnick obtained her law degree for the University of Dayton’s School of Law, and her undergraduate from Wright State University. She worked as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Montgomery County for over 20 years. She also worked as a Jefferson County deputy district attorney in the Criminal Division and private practice at Kolberg & Melnick, LPA.

Robert Hanseman and Kimberly Melnick must run for election in 2022 to be able to complete the remainder of the unexpired term.
