Graffiti art on display at Dayton Arcade

DAYTON — Local graffiti artists got the opportunity to display their talents at The Tank at the Dayton Arcade.

Culture Works and friends of the Dayton Arcade recently commissioned local graffiti artists to leave their mark on the Tank’s subway-style entrance, according to Dayton Arcade organizers.

Local artists Solomon Dickerson and Nathan Roberts, along with project adjudicator Benjamin Baugham, created the installations at The Tank - Inspired by CenterPoint Energy.

The artists said the artwork was inspired by Hades from Greek mythology.

Dickerson said the soulful vibrant words, letters and colors were meant to depitct that “Hades doesn’t have to be a bad place.”
