Prospective bus drivers will be offered the chance to get behind the wheel of the agency’s big buses and/or non-CDL buses to get a feel of what it means to be a bus drive, Greater Dayton RTA said.
Interviews will be conducted Tuesday from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Candidates must bring and hold a valid Driver’s License along with a copy of their resume, according to Greater Dayton RTA.
RTA trainers will also be on hand to assist applicants with a vehicle test drive.
The hope is candidates will feel more connected with their future career, Greater Dayton RTA said.
“The RTA trainer is very hands on,” said Shawnta Parker, who was hired at the last interactive event in June. “I always wanted to drive for RTA.”
For those not able to attend Tuesday’s career fair, you can apply for open positions on RTA’s career website.
