XENIA — The Greene County fair board has decided to limit this year’s fair to a junior fair only.
>>PREVIOUS: Greene County fair to have rides, games under modified plan
With guidance from the Greene County Combined Health District, fair board members have decided against holding the fair normally with only some restrictions.
The fair will now be a junior fair only, allowing juniors to show and sell their livestock.
A junior fair includes the following limitations and requirements:
- Attendees must social distance and wear masks. Children 10 and under and those with certain health concerns are not required to wear masks.
- Food vendors will be limited.
- Rides, games, entertainment and shows will not take place.
- Livestock shows and sales will continue.
The fair is open to the public Aug. 4 through 8 and will cost $5 for admission. If you bring a non-perishable item admission is $3 and the food will be donated to a local food bank.
Greene County fair board members are holding a meeting at 10 a.m. We will update you with any new details that may come from the meeting.
