Greene County family travels to Nashville for Bengals, Titans playoff game

NASHVILLE — Bengals fans are in Nashville and they are ready for Saturday’s playoff game against the Tennessee Titans.

News Center 7′s James Rider is in Nashville and ran into the Praeter family from Bellbrook. They will be in Nissan Stadium for the game. Emily Praeter, a lifelong Bengals fan, said she has waited her entire life for this moment.

“31 years ago I was in 8th grade, so we’ve waited a really long time, those of us that are loyal fans,” Emily Praeter said.

The Praeters said they have season tickets and as Jason Praeter explained, it did not take long to decide if they would be making the trip to Nashville for the game.

“It was done before the game was even over. In Cincinnati, we’re sitting there and we’re like ‘If they win this, we’re going. Doesn’t matter where it’s at,’” Jason Praeter said.

It was important for them to bring their three children, Ava, Ashtyn and Aiden, with them.

“I want them to experience what it felt like when I was a kid living like this, seeing the team win,” Emily Praeter said.

The kids said they were thrilled that the Bengals ended up in Nashville and are enjoying all the tourist stops the city has to offer.

“This is amazing, we’re making family memories and cheering on our favorite team. It doesn’t get any better,” Emily Praeter said.

And if the Bengals win, the Praeters said they will continue to make family memories in either Kansas City or Buffalo for the conference championship.
