“I want to get geared up so if gets bad, I don’t have to worry about getting out for anything,” Kenny Weeks, of Dayton, said.
Weeks finished up his shopping at Dot’s Market on Friday. He said he was focused on getting his grocery essentials for the next week.
The store’s owner, Nick Moshos, said the forecasted snow means they’ll sell more staples items like milk, and bread, eggs. He said they’ll also sell more things like snow shovels and “other items that you wouldn’t think to buy unless there’s a snowstorm coming in.”
As reported on News Center 7 at 5:30, Moshos said they’re already seeing an uptick in customers and he’s doing his part to make sure they have what they need.
“We pay attention to the forecast. We talk with our vendor partners and we try to get all the things here in time that folks need before the weather hits,” he said. “So we’re stocked up and ready to go.”
It means all hands on deck for his employees and even he might have to get in the mix.
“You might even see me on a register if it comes down to it,” he said. “We’ll do what we have to do.”
