UPDATE @ 2:30 a.m. (May 13): A shooting victim was taken to a local hospital late Sunday night after he was found by deputies in a Family Dollar parking lot.

According to a release by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 11 p.m. to a report of shots heard in the area of Klepinger Road and West Siebenthaler Avenue in Harrison Twp.
Approximately five minutes after the call, a deputy observed a car driving erratically near North Dixie Drive and Needmore Road. The vehicle pulled into the Family Dollar parking lot, at 5607 N. Dixie Drive. After the deputy approached the vehicle, he determined the driver had a gunshot wound to his left arm.
The victim, whose name was not released, was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say he told them that the shooting happened in the area where the shots were heard. Deputies were able to locate a shell casing in the same area, according to the release.
Possible suspect descriptions, if any, were not immediately released.
The incident remains under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and medics are responding to the Family Dollar on North Dixie Drive after a man was reportedly found suffering from a gunshot wound late Sunday.
Initial reports indicate authorities responded just after 11 p.m. to the store’s parking lot, at 5607 N. Dixie Drive, on what was believed to be a medical call and discovered a gunshot victim.
