Restaurant Depot on Keats Drive was originally scheduled to open July 17, 2019, however damage to the building caused by the tornado outbreak and health concerns caused by COVID-19 forced the opening to be delayed until Wednesday.

The location is the company’s fifth Ohio location and will bring between 35 to 45 new jobs, according to a Restaurant Depot spokesperson.

“We’re very excited to finally open this location after so many delays, and it couldn’t come at a better time,” Waden Weinzirl, director of operations said in a media release. “Restaurants around the country have been hit hard by the pandemic and now that they’re starting to get the chance to re-open, we’re proud to help them serve their customers.”

The completely rebuilt location will operate as a business-to-business outfit, offering products from kitchen equipment to fresh produce for independent restaurants, caterers, and non-profits, the company spokesperson said.

A membership is required, however it is free to enroll and details on how businesses can apply for the membership can be found on the Restaurant Depot’s website.
