PHOTOS: High water causing problems across the area
Reports of high water and calls for water rescues Sunday night kept police and fire crews busy. As of Monday morning, water had receded from most major roadways, but some areas were still experiencing flooding.

- High water has been reported Monday morning at the following locations: Montgomery County: Soldier's Home Miamisburg Road and Farmersville West Carrollton Road; Clark County: Spangler at Union Road, I-675 going into Medway/Osborne Road and Springfield Rd. north of Ohio 235; Greene County: U.S. 35 at Valley Road, Ohio 725 at Lower Bellbrook Road and Penewit Road; Claydor Drive, Willow Creek Drive, Grange Hall Road, Windmilll Road between George Washington Road and Cable Road, Washington Mill at Graff Mill Road, Stewart Road south of Washington Mill Road.
- High water was reported in Beavercreek Monday morning in several locations including the entry to Rotary Park on Dayton Xenia Road and Factory Road between Dayton Xenia and U.S. 35.

- Interstate 70 was closed in both directions Sunday night between Ohio 235 and Interstate 675 due to high water. By 10 p.m. eastbound lanes had reopened, and by 11 p.m., all westbound lanes had reopened.
- Two people reportedly trapped in a vehicle in high water on North Snider Road in Trotwood ended with both people being helped from the vehicle by friends and family, we're hearing. Fire crews dispatched on the report located the vehicle, which was unoccupied when they arrived about 10:40 p.m. A fire official on scene ordered crews to leave the vehicle in the water overnight. "We want to advise people that if you see water across the roadway, please do not drive through it," Trotwood fire Lt. Shane Snyder said. His crews were called out four times Sunday night for stranded vehicles in high water.

- Police and fire crews placed signs warning of high water at Old Dayton Road, just west of North Snider Road in Trotwood, Lt. Shane Snyder said.
- Diamond Mill at Wastler roads in Brookville remained closed at 11:30 p.m. because of high water, police said.
- A police cruiser was reportedly trapped in high water in the area of Hoover Avenue and Anna Street just before 8 p.m.
- Residents reported high water on Wiltshire Boulevard in Kettering

- In Clay Twp., police set up signs to mark roads closed on National and Wellbaum roads in Brookville
- In Dayton, Patterson Road, between Wilmington Pike and South Smithville roads, was under at least 2 feet of water

- In Brookville, a fire/rescue crew was sent to Upper Lewisburg Salem Road about 9 p.m. to fetch several people reportedly in a vehicle trapped in high water
- In Dayton, Lodell Avenue was reportedly flooded
- Streets in Fairborn were flooded, according to callers and police/radio dispatchers
- A water rescue involving a motorist, in the area of Claybeck Drive, in Huber Heights
- A resident on Hinckley Court in Huber Heights reported that the back porch of his home had been washed away and that water was pouring into his home.
- Flooding was been reported at Springfield Meadows, a mobile home park in German Twp., Clark County.
- High water was reported to cause a basement wall to buckle at a home on Holly Drive In Springfield.
- High water reported in the area of Shoop and Fairbanks avenues in Dayton
