Man shot, killed on Lori Sue Avenue identified

DAYTON — A man was shot and killed on Lori Sue Avenue in Dayton Wednesday afternoon, according to Dayton police.

Dono Barksdale, 36, of Dayton, died following the shooting at his home, according to Montgomery County Coroner Kent Harshbarger.

Dispatch records indicated police responded to the 3900 block of Lori Sue around 12:25 p.m. on a report of a male who was on the ground unconscious and wasn’t breathing.

When medics arrived at the address they requested officers to respond to the home after they suspected Barksdale may have been shot, according to emergency dispatch traffic.
