DAYTON — Dayton homicide detectives are investigating the death of a male found dead Saturday morning.
Dayton Police responded to the 3500 block of West Third Street around 9:10 a.m. on reports of a possible deceased person, according to initial emergency scanner traffic.

Dayton Police Sergeant Creigee Coleman said a driver saw the male and called police.
When officers arrived on scene, the found the male who appeared to have been shot. Coleman told News Center 7 that they’re still working to find out when the male was shot.
Officers used police tape to block off a drive-thru on the corner of W. Third St. and Upland Ave and blocked part of Upland Avenue.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office was called out to the scene.
