Scene cleared and roadways open after crews battle house fire in New Carlisle

NEW CARLISLE — UPDATE @ 5:30 p.m.: 

The scene is cleared after crews worked to put out a house fire in new Carlisle Saturday afternoon.

West National Road is open again, according to Clark County dispatch.

UPDATE @1:20 p.m.:

Our crew on the scene reported that there is no longer smoke visible from the building.

West National Road is closed in the area while crews battle the fire.

INITIAL REPORT: 

A working structure fire has been reported on West National Road in Clark County.

Reports indicate the fire has been kicked down, but is not yet out.

The fire was reported in the 11900 block of West National Road.

Scanner traffic indicates that everyone is out of the building.

The cause of the fire is not immediately clear.
