Our Storm Center 7 solar eclipse glasses giveaway has ended, as we exhausted our supply of 2,000 pairs this afternoon. Thanks to everyone who waited in line for the glasses and to greet Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell.

Our last giveaway will take place on today, Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. We will have a booth set up outside of our studios at 1611 South Main Street in Dayton where you can receive your glasses.
One pair of glasses per person and you must be present to participate in the giveaway.

WHIO will live stream the Aug. 21 solar eclipse on our Facebook page from 1 to 4 p.m., while a special broadcast will air on WHIO Radio during the same hours.

Viewing the total solar eclipse requires specific eclipse glasses or handheld solar viewers, not regular sunglasses.
