DAYTON — A Huber Heights medic unit on an emergency run was involved in a crash in Dayton Wednesday morning, according to police.

The crash was reported at the intersection of Harshman Road and Brandt Pike around 9:15 a.m.
The medic unit was making an emergency run with a patient inside the vehicle when the crash happened. Medics were transporting the patient to Grandview Hospital when an SUV crashed into them, according to police.
The driver of the SUV and original patient in the medic unit were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately released.
Police said the medic was traveling with lights and sirens activated when the crash occurred.
The driver of the SUV will be cited for failure to yield.
