The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed the identity of the woman accused of hitting Deputy Michael Profitt with a stolen car Tuesday evening.
Brooklynn Frazier, 24, of Columbus, has been charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of failure to comply. She was booked in the Montgomery County Jail Thursday evening.
Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck says the deputy who was hit by a car trying to drive away from a traffic stop has been released from Miami Valley Hospital and is recovering at home.
At a press conference Wednesday, Streck said Deputy Michael Profitt, 25, did not have any broken bones as result of the incident, but did suffer road rash and multiple cuts, including a large cut to his hand.

Deputies in Harrison Twp. were alerted to a stolen sedan out of Columbus in the area of N. Dixie Drive and Needmore Road around 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. The sedan continued north toward Stop 8 Road, when Profitt and another deputy attempted to make a traffic stop.
Streck said the female driver put her car in reverse and quickly accelerated forward, hitting Profitt head-on. It was previously reported that Profitt was hit twice, but Streck said he was only hit once. The impact was so hard that Profitt’s radio was “embedded” in the suspect’s windshield.
The deputy was thrown onto the suspect’s car, which is when he fired two shots at the driver, striking her twice in the right arm. The suspect then drove off.
The suspect was identified as a woman who was born in 1998 and was from the Columbus area.
The suspect continued east on Stop 8 Road toward Webster Street. Streck said the suspect then traveled on Webster Street and turned onto Wagner Ford Road before getting on I-75 NB. The pursuit continued until the suspect’s vehicle came to a stop near the 66 mile marker, just inside Miami County. Officers closed I-75 NB at Needmore Road while they were on scene with the suspect and the car.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Kettering Health Dayton and her condition was described as non-life threatening. She remains in the hospital, but Streck said she is expected to be released in the “very near future.” Streck said at this time, the suspect has not been charged.
The Dayton Police Department will be handling the investigation into the incident and the officer-involved shooting on the N. Dixie Drive.
