‘I need to get to him;’ Frantic 911 call details moments after man injured in Harrison Twp shooting

HARRISON TOWNSHIP — In a 911 call, a woman frantically asks for help moments after she said her boyfriend was shot in Harrison Township Friday night.

In the call obtained by News Center 7 through a public records request, the caller tells dispatchers what her boyfriend said to her.

“I need you guys to get to Dixie Lounge my boyfriend just called me — he was just shot,” the caller tells dispatchers.

She said she doesn’t know the address but knows it is a bar.

The caller tells dispatchers she is headed to where her boyfriend is. Dispatchers advise her to stay in her car and away from the scene as it could still be active.

“I need to get to him, I need to get to him,” the caller repeats.

Deputies and medics located the man down the road from the Dixie Lounge in the 4200 block of North Dixie Drive around 9:40 p.m., according to a release.

He was suffering from a gunshot wound in the stomach and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, the release states.

Information about his current condition and if a suspect has been identified was not available.
