Daryl “Rob” Fraley was back in court on Wednesday morning for a hearing regarding his progress in paying back $140,263 in restitution that he owes. That total is a combination of the $15,726 he owes from his criminal case in Montgomery County and the $124,537 he owes in the civil case that the Ohio Attorney General had against him.

Judge Mary Wiseman called Fraley’s repayment progress over the last four months “favorable” and said he’s been making payments on time.

“Of course the restitution amounts in total are ginormous, but there has been a whittling down of those amounts,” Wiseman said.

As reported on News Center 7 at 5:30, Fraley has paid back $1,600 in his criminal case.

The I-Team checked with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and learned that he’s paid back a little more than $2,500 in his civil case.

Fraley has to pay back more than 20 victims who paid him, through his business Dixie Fence South, to build a fence. Those jobs were never completed.

Since the I-Team’s original report on Fraley and his theft, lead investigator John Bedell has spoken to victims all over the Miami Valley – people who Fraley is now working to pay back, all while the judge keeps tabs on the court-ordered bill.

“Until I get a report that says the restitution amount is zero, is paid off in full, I’m not going to let my foot off the pedal for you,” Wiseman said on Wednesday.

Wiseman also said she wants another status report from Fraley in six months.
