Man taken into custody after standoff in West Milton

WEST MILTON — A man was taken into custody after a standoff in West Milton Sunday afternoon.

West Milton Police Officer Ryan Ingle told News Center 7 that the man was wanted in Huber Heights on a low level traffic warrant. Police were executing the warrant when the suspect barricaded himself inside an home on the 300 block of W. Hayes Street.

West Milton Police, Union Police and Miami County Deputies responded to the scene.

Law enforcement were eventually able to get the suspect out of the home willfully and transferred him to into the custody of Huber Heights Police.

Officer Ingle said the suspect would also be charged with resisting arrest, as well as obstruction and failure to identify.
