Investigation into shooting at Richmond Intermediate complete

RICHMOND, Indiana — The Indiana State Police investigation into the shooting at Dennis Intermediate in Richmond is complete.

ISP will now hand the investigation over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office for review, which is standard, according to troopers.

Brandon Clegg, 14, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the school during a shootout with police in December. The school already was locked down following a tip about a “potential violent act” when Clegg shot out the front doors of the school.
