Investigation leads to arrest of 5 people for engaging in illegal sex acts in Dayton area

DAYTON — Authorities with the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force arrested a total of five people for engaging in illegal sex acts in the Dayton area.

The operation was a two day undercover investigation focusing on those who advertise prostitution services in online ads and identifying victims of human trafficking, according to Montgomery County Sheriff Rob Streck.

“If you have more people gathering in an area, there is ultimately more demand,” Streck said. “This operation is a great example of how the Miami Valley Human Trafficking Task Force worked collaboratively to stop traffickers from this illicit activity in our community.”

The names of the people arrested were not released.
