iPhones targeted during Dayton Boost Mobile robbery

DAYTON — Five iPhones and hundreds of dollars in cash were stolen during an armed robbery at the Boost Mobile store on North Gettysburg Avenue Friday afternoon, according to a police report

Officers responded to the store, 1744 N. Gettysburg Ave., around 5:30 p.m.

According to the report, the robber pulled out a gun after entering the store and went behind the counter ordering the worker to the ground.

The robber then told the worker to empty the cash register and to load up a bag with phones from the back, the report read.

The robber, described as a skinny black male, approximately 5-foot-10, wearing a grey shirt with a small logo, blue slacks, work boots, a black Nike bag, a brown and black woman’s wig, sunglasses and had a thick beard, according to the report.

The thief fled the store following the robbery.
