WARREN COUNTY — A couple is on edge after their SUV was stolen out of their garage and a thief allegedly pointed a gun at them.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, a Clearcreek couple said they were inside when they noticed something out of the ordinary.

“She was moving around her office and all of a sudden, she yells, ‘Who’s backing my car out of the driveway?’” the husband, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
The couple ran down their driveway trying to stop the car.
“That’s when the individual exited the Kia with the gun,” the wife said.
They said that at least two thieves worked together.
“They had masks covering their face from the just below the eyes and down,” he said.
The husband said their garage door was open, and he was planning to get a car wash but ran inside to take a work call.
Video from a neighbor’s doorbell camera showed the thieves pull up to the driveway in a white Kia.
One person jumped out of the Kia, ran to the SUV, and started backing it out of the driveway.
The video then shows the couple running up to the car and banging on the window. That’s when the couple said the driver pulled a gun.
“Everything else just kind of fell by the wayside,” he said.
Investigators told the them that Clearcreek police located the white Kia a short time later and chased it.
The Kia flipped while turning onto I-75, according to police. Officers arrested the driver, a 15-year-old boy, on seven felony charges.
The couple told News Center 7′s Mason Fletcher that they were able to track their car using an app.
They found it about 25 minutes away from their house at the intersection of Liscum and Route 4.
Officers said they hadn’t found the person who stole the couple’s car, but they believe it was a minor.
The Clearcreek Police Department told News Center 7 that they are investigating several car thefts and think the same people are responsible for the crimes.
But the couple’s theft was the first one to occur in broad daylight.
“It’s still tough. It’s like numb. How we feel towards it, it was just a lot,” he said.
