11 jailed, 11 sought in multi-jurisdictional ‘Operation Firecracker’ drug case

Eleven people are in jail and 11 more are wanted on drug charges as a result of “Operation Firecracker,” a six-month narcotics investigation involving trafficking in methamphetamine, Darke County Sheriff Toby Spencer said in a prepared statement.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville police, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, Darke County Adult Probation, Union City police, and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office are working together on the continuing investigation.

Tuesday, the following people -- all but one of Greenville -- were arrested and booked into area jails:

Amberly Williams, 29: 3 counts felony trafficking.  She was convicted of trafficking in 2018 and of felony drug possession this year;

Lanita Dues, 57: 4 counts felony trafficking;

Kelvin Crawford, 52, Union City: 1 count felony trafficking;

Ebony Redditt, 40: 2 counts felony trafficking. She has 2015 convictions for trafficking and possession;

Daniel Trittschuh, 32: 3 counts felony trafficking and 2 counts possession;

Sara Dynes, 33: 2 counts felony trafficking;

Stoney Dynes, 55: 2 counts felony trafficking;

Tyler Merritt, 34:1 count felony trafficking;

Kelly Smith, 24:1 count felony possession, with trafficking convictions from this year;

While executing the drug warrants Tuesday, Stanley Richards, 44, of Greenville, was arrested on a probation violation and Marti Thompson, 48, of Arcanum, was taken into custody on charges of domestic violence and unlawful restraint. Both were present during the warrant sweep.

The following suspects have active arrest warrants from the same “Operation Firecracker” investigation. Each one is wanted on a felony charge of trafficking in meth: Carl Adkins, 46, Dayton; Sharon Utley, 52, Dayton; Leroy Jones, 39, Greenville; Charles Phillips, 39, Greenville.

Also Tuesday, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies have arrested two of nine suspects wanted on felony drug trafficking warrants.
