XENIA — A jury convicted a woman of shooting and killing a man after a fight at the Round Table bar in May 2018.

Talicia Dixon, 29, was convicted of murder and other felonies for shooting and killing Andre Nooks in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue on May 5. She now faces a sentence of 18 years to life in prison.

“According to testimony, Talicia Dixon and a number of others got into a fight at the Round Table bar earlier in the evening. Once the fight had concluded, all parties left the Round Table bar,” prosecutors said.

Witnesses ended up driving to Franklin Avenue about 90 minutes after the argument at the bar and that is when there was an argument.

“Dixon retreated to a vehicle, obtained a firearm, and approached Andre Nooks while he remained unarmed and defenseless. Dixon raised the gun and fired, striking Andre Nooks in the center of his neck,” prosecutors said.

Nooks ended up dying from his injuries several months later in January 2019.

“It has been a long time coming, but today the family of Andre Nooks received some small measure of justice for what Talicia Dixon did on May 5, 2018.” Greene County Prosecutor David Hayes said.

Dixon is set for sentencing on July 22.
