Juvenile launches firework into Dayton convenience store

DAYTON — A juvenile launched a firework into the United Foods store on North Main Street after a worker confronted a group of juveniles making it difficult for customers to enter the store, according to a Dayton police report.

No injuries were reported, however two boxes of Honey Buns were damaged by the firework, according to the report.

The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

As the juveniles were leaving the property one of the juveniles lit up a firework and threw it inside the store, the report read.

The juveniles ran south from the store and police were able to review video of the incident from the store’s camera system, according to the report.

No arrests have been made, according to the report.
